Second Chance Job Fair

For 1,800 formerly incarcerated people, Commissioner Calvert’s 2nd Chance Job Fair provided an opportunity for employment and community integration. Created to help the formerly incarcerated find jobs in their communities and advance economic development, this event represented Commissioner Calvert’s commitment to the success of his constituents and his precinct. “We changed the culture that threw people away,” Commissioner Calvert says of the job fair, “and we created a culture of love where people would be reintegrated and accepted.”
